This five acre mixed-use development
along the Mississippi River includes a
new waterfront park and an adaptive
reuse of a historic industrial building.
A development proposal including the
park master plan is under consideration
as a finalist for a $980,000 Livable
Communities Demonstration Account
Grant for implementation of the project.
Park amenities include an outdoor
restaurant, a dining terrace, bicycle
and pedestrian connections to the
Mississippi River Regional Trail, a canoe
rental facility, a public plaza, an ice rink,
and an oval lawn. The park utilizes
numerous environmentally sustainable
best management practices including
bioswales, roof-water capture, and an
entirely native planting palette.
